Man Accused of Multiple DUI Crashes Has Bond Revoked

One crash sent two Palm Harbor women to the hospital, another killed his wife, now a man accused of DUI in connection with both of these accidents has had his bond revoked.

Friday, Pasco County Judge Mary Handsel revoked bond for 59 year-old Phillip B. Phillip was immediately placed in handcuffs and led out of the courtroom at the West Pasco Judicial Center.

The judge’s decision came after Phillip’s second arrest on a DUI charge.  It happened June 9th, which was the night of the annual Palm Harbor Parrot Head Festival. Authorities say Philip hit two women from behind as they crossed Nebraska Ave. near Billy Jack’s Burger Shack. Annette K., 62, and Mary T., 64, were both injured and hospitalized. Phillip was charged with DUI Causing Serious Bodily Injury.

At the time of the Palm Harbor crash, Phillip was out on bond for his alleged role in a previous DUI crash that killed his wife. Authorities say on April 30th, 2010, Phillip was driving with his wife, Sherry, on Trinity Rd. when he turned into an oncoming car on Tamarind Blvd. The impact of the crash ejected the 66-year old woman, who later died from her injuries. Records show Phillip had a blood alcohol level of .194 in that case, over twice the legal limit in Florida.

After PCSO Employee Injured, Man Charged With DUI In Palm Harbor

A traffic crash led to the arrest of a Holiday man on drug and driving under the influence charges Friday night in Palm Harbor.

The incident occurred just after 7:30 pm at the intersection of Omaha St. and Alderman Rd. An employee of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office suffered minor injuries in the crash.

According to a PCSO report Robert M. rear-ended a 2011 Ford Fusion driven by Jennifer Wilson, a member of the department’s Child Protection Investigations Division. The vehicle is property of PCSO.

Wilson, 29, was stopped at a red light when Robert’s Jeep Wrangler hit her vehicle. She was on her way home at the time of the crash with her one-year-old child – who was in a child safety seat.
